Cookie & Tracking Policy

Cookies, tracking technologies, analytics, advertising pixels, and how to manage your preferences.

Last updated: March 28, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide analytics, remember preferences, and deliver relevant content. We also use similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, local storage, and device fingerprinting.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

2.1 Essential Cookies

Required for the Platform to function. These cookies enable core functionality such as authentication (including Firebase authentication tokens and OAuth session cookies for Google, GitHub, and HuggingFace sign-in), security, session management, and load balancing. You cannot opt out of essential cookies as they are necessary for the service to work.

2.2 Analytics Cookies

Help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform. We use analytics services (such as Google Analytics and similar tools) to collect information about page views, navigation patterns, time spent, and feature usage. This data helps us improve the Platform experience. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and anonymized form.

2.3 Preference Cookies

Remember your settings and preferences such as language, timezone, display preferences, and notification settings. These cookies make your experience more convenient and personalized.

2.4 Marketing & Advertising Cookies

Used to deliver relevant advertisements and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. These cookies may be set by third-party advertising partners and can track your browsing activity across different websites. Marketing cookies are only used with your consent where required by law.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our Platform are placed by third-party services, including:

  • Firebase/Google: Authentication tokens stored in localStorage, analytics, performance monitoring, and push notifications
  • Payment Processors: Stripe sets cookies for fraud detection and secure transaction processing; PayPal may set cookies for transaction processing
  • Social Media: LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other social platforms may set cookies when you interact with social sharing features
  • Analytics Providers: Tools that help us understand platform usage and performance

We do not control third-party cookies and their use is governed by the respective third party's privacy policy. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third parties.

4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

4.1 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block all cookies or specific types of cookies
  • Set preferences for specific websites
  • Enable "Do Not Track" signals

Note: Blocking or deleting cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform. Essential features such as login and session management require cookies to function properly.

4.2 Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit our Platform, you may see a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or customize your cookie preferences. You can change your preferences at any time through the Platform settings.

4.3 Opt-Out Links

For specific third-party analytics and advertising services, you can opt out through their respective opt-out mechanisms. For example, Google Analytics provides an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Local Storage & Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB to store preferences, cache data for offline functionality (as a Progressive Web App), and improve performance. These technologies serve similar purposes to cookies and can be managed through your browser settings.

Notably, we store Firebase authentication tokens in localStorage and use JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for session management. Access tokens have a lifespan of 30 minutes, while refresh tokens are valid for 7 days. These tokens are required for authenticated access to the Platform and are automatically refreshed as needed.

6. Do Not Track Signals

There is no universal standard for how websites should respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals. At this time, we do not respond to DNT signals. However, you can manage your tracking preferences through the cookie settings described above.
