Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Resume by REWORK. at resume.reworkdigital.io ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by REWORK., based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not create an account or use any part of the Service.

2. Description of Service

Resume by REWORK. is an AI-powered career tools platform that helps job seekers optimize their applications. The Service includes the following features:

  • Job Analysis: Paste or import a job posting URL and receive an AI-generated compatibility score with breakdown across skill match, experience relevance, keyword alignment, seniority fit, and ATS likelihood
  • Resume Tailoring: Upload your resume as a PDF, then generate an optimized version tailored to a specific job posting with ATS keyword coverage improvements
  • Cover Letter Generation: AI-generated cover letters customized to your resume and a target job description
  • Interview Practice: Chat-based AI interview simulations where you receive per-answer feedback, scores, and suggested improved responses
  • Application Tracking: A dashboard to organize and monitor the status of your job applications
  • Performance Insights: AI-driven feedback analysis on your application patterns, keyword recommendations, and resume improvement suggestions
  • Human Expert Services: On paid plans, access to professional resume writers and career coaches for 1-on-1 resume reviews, expert cover letters, and personalized job recommendations
  • Blog & Resume Samples: Educational career content and sample resumes for reference

Features, usage limits, and availability may change as we improve the Service. We will notify active users of material changes.

3. User Accounts & Authentication

To access the dashboard and most features, you must create an account using your name, email address, and a password. Account authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. You agree to:

  • Provide your real name and a valid email address during registration
  • Choose a strong password and keep your login credentials confidential
  • Notify us immediately at support@resume.reworkdigital.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, including AI analyses, generated content, and purchases

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that appear fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these terms.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including your uploaded resumes, work history, education details, and skills information. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Process your resume through our AI systems (powered by Anthropic's Claude API) to generate analyses, tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview responses
  • Store your content in Firebase/Firestore to display your dashboard, track applications, and maintain your usage history
  • Share your resume and profile data with human expert reviewers if you request an expert service

AI-generated outputs (tailored resumes, cover letters, interview feedback, compatibility scores) are provided to you for your personal use. You may use these outputs in your actual job applications without restriction.

You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights. Do not upload resumes or personal data belonging to someone else without their consent.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload fabricated work experience, fake credentials, or deliberately misleading resume content
  • Use the Service to generate application materials for jobs you are not genuinely pursuing
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits by creating multiple accounts or manipulating the credit system
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service or extract data from it
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or AI prompts used by the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute AI-generated outputs as a commercial product or service
  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, our servers, or our databases

6. AI-Generated Content & Limitations

The Service uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze job postings, tailor resumes, generate cover letters, conduct mock interviews, and produce career insights. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated compatibility scores, keyword analyses, and recommendations are estimates based on the text you provide — they do not guarantee how an actual ATS system or recruiter will evaluate your application
  • Tailored resumes and cover letters should be reviewed and edited by you before submission to ensure accuracy and personal voice
  • Interview practice sessions simulate common interview scenarios but cannot replicate the full dynamics of a real interview
  • We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews, offers, or any specific employment outcome
  • AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, outdated phrasing, or suggestions that do not fit your specific situation — you bear final responsibility for all materials you submit to employers

7. Subscription Plans, Credits & Pricing

The Service offers a free tier and three paid subscription plans:

  • Free: Unlimited manual job analyses, 3 AI-powered URL imports, 1 tailored resume, 1 cover letter, and basic ATS optimization — no credit card required
  • Essentials ($19.99/month or $199/year): 50 URL imports, 30 tailored resumes, 10 cover letters, 5 interview practice sessions, performance insights, and 1 expert resume review per month
  • Pro ($49.99/month or $499/year): Unlimited URL imports and cover letters, 100 tailored resumes, unlimited interview practice, priority processing, 2 expert resume rewrites, 2 expert cover letters, and monthly personalized job recommendations
  • Premium ($149.99/month or $1,499/year): Unlimited everything, concierge career management, 5 expert resume rewrites, 5 expert cover letters, 3 monthly job recommendation batches, and a dedicated account manager

We also offer one-time credit packs that do not require a subscription: Starter Pack ($9), Hunter Pack ($25), and Career Changer ($49). One-time packs include a set number of resume tailorings, cover letters, and URL imports. Credits from one-time packs do not expire.

Active subscribers can earn bonus analysis credits through usage milestones (e.g., 100 analyses completed earns 10 bonus credits; 50 applications tracked earns 5 bonus credits). Bonus credits are available for Essentials, Pro, and Premium plans.

All payments are processed through Stripe. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selection. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then. Prices are listed in USD and may be adjusted for certain regions. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.

8. Refund Policy

We offer refunds under the following conditions:

  • 14-Day Window: Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the purchase date
  • Single Service Usage: A refund is available if you have used only one service type (Job Analysis, Resume Tailoring, Cover Letter Generation, or Interview Practice)
  • Multi-Service Usage: If you have used two or more service types during the refund window, no refund will be issued, as you have received substantial value across multiple features
  • One-Time Packs: One-time credit pack purchases are refundable within 14 days only if no credits have been used
  • Expert Services: Once a human expert has begun reviewing your resume or drafting your cover letter, that portion of the service is non-refundable

We verify your usage history before processing any refund. Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe.

To request a refund, email support@resume.reworkdigital.io within 14 days of purchase with your account email and the reason for your request.

9. Human Expert Services

Paid plans include access to human expert services — professional resume writers and career coaches who provide 1-on-1 assistance. When you request an expert service:

  • Your resume content and relevant job descriptions are shared with the assigned expert for review
  • Expert turnaround times vary based on demand and plan tier — Premium subscribers receive priority
  • Expert recommendations represent professional opinions and do not guarantee specific outcomes
  • Monthly expert service allocations reset with your billing cycle and do not roll over to the next month

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
  • We do not warrant that AI-generated compatibility scores will match actual ATS system results or recruiter evaluations
  • We do not guarantee that tailored resumes, cover letters, or interview practice will lead to job interviews, offers, or employment
  • We are not responsible for errors in AI-generated content that you submit to employers without reviewing
  • We do not warrant uninterrupted access to the Service — maintenance, AI provider outages, or infrastructure issues may cause temporary unavailability

IN NO EVENT SHALL REWORK DIGITAL, ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Lost job opportunities, missed application deadlines, or negative employer impressions arising from use of AI-generated content
  • Loss of data due to account issues, provided we comply with our data retention obligations
  • Actions taken by third-party services (Stripe, Firebase, Anthropic) that are beyond our control

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless REWORK. and its founders, employees, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you upload, including resumes containing false or misleading information; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights, including submitting someone else's personal data without their consent.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be:

  • Governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles
  • First attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting support@resume.reworkdigital.io
  • If negotiation fails, resolved through binding arbitration in Toronto, Ontario, unless you opt out of arbitration within 30 days of creating your account by emailing support@resume.reworkdigital.io
  • Brought only in your individual capacity — you waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@resume.reworkdigital.io. Upon deletion:

  • Your active subscription will be cancelled, with access continuing until the end of the current billing period
  • Your personal data, uploaded resumes, generated content, and application history will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Unused one-time credits are forfeited and non-refundable after the 14-day refund window

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if we determine you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or abused the Service (e.g., bypassing usage limits, uploading harmful content, or reselling outputs commercially).

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our features, pricing, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and display a notice within the Service. If you continue to use the Service after changes take effect, you accept the revised Terms. If you disagree with material changes, you may close your account and request a prorated refund for any prepaid annual subscription.
